I just bought a 2002 Ural Tourist with 340 miles on it. From what I was told about driving a sidecar cycle it would take at least two days to learn. Well they were wrong within an hour I was driving around the block going forward and backward. I have two new Harley\'s but the Ural has now become my bike of choice. I have six grandchildren and there is no way they would let me sell it. The three and five year old brothers love it and now they argue who is going to sit next to grandpa. The bike starts right up and idles very good. The only questions I have is when to do general maintenance and what to look for so I don\'t develop problems with something minor. Everyone was right when they say everyone admires the Ural and look at it with a big queastion mark. It certainly make you a lot of friends. |

There are more and more of us buying Urals, we need to get organized and put together a URAL USA club and form a national Ural Rally. I went to the 1st and 2nd International Ural Rally in Austria in 2008/2009, it was awesome. This would be great for us in USA. A ural dealer can sponsor it every year in different states. |

I\'d highly encourage you to order one of them is you\'re sitting on the fence. I ordered a 2007 Gear Up Patrol from Wagner\'s in late 2007 and picked it up in February 2008. I\'ve not regretted it one bit. I can\'t say that I rack up the miles like some of the regulars do on the Yahoo group, but I\'m up to 7,770kms as of today\'s raining ride home from work. I can tell you that the work Mike put into getting the rig ready, and the class he gave me on maintaining the rig are priceless. I used to tinker on automobiles as a teenager but can\'t say as I have a world of automotive experience. I can say however that I\'ve had the usual experience all Ural owners have - there are no NEW Ural maintenance issue - and they\'ve all been what I would consider relatively minor. Why minor? Because I could fix them myself - either through a quick phone call to Wagner\'s or by getting advice from users on their Yahoo group. So, if you\'re sitting on the fence, get off of it. Felicia and Mike are old school - their word is their bond! They\'re great people too. Don\'t buy a rig from someone who simply sells them. You should buy it from one who actually knows them inside and out - and perhaps more importantly - is there AFTER the sale.
Get off that fence and ride!

Mike and Flicka. I am new to the Ural world. Thanks for you mechanicial and parts service. I am 60 years old and remember when dealers would actually talk to you like you do. It is a pleasure doing business with you. Ron |

I have promised to \"babysit\" my Nephew\'s URAL. I should be picking it up this week, will trailer it home but promised to keep it running till he returns. I ride a Suzuki Savage and have basic knowledge of bikes but since this is a rather different bike than I am used to will appreciate any tips. Is the gearing set up the same as other bikes or will I need to relearn to shift it? I am West of the DFW - Texas area. Is there anyone close? |

Thought I would drop you a quick line to say that I ran across a IMZ-Ural motorcycle w/sidecar here on our FOB in Baghdad, Iraq. I wasn\'t sure what it was, but did a little bit of research, Via Interenet and found out what make it was. as an avid year round biker, I would love to ship this bike to Arkansas and restore it..But I can atleast show pictures of the find. let me know if your interested and I will send some.
