The URAL 750cc Boxer twin is coming after over four
years of development and testing. The basic engine design has not
changed. This is an evolution and improvement of an already
proven design, not a revolution to a new engine design.

The basic change is in stroke, adding 10mm to the 68mm stroke of
the 650cc engine. However, as long as we were changing the stroke,
which entailed a new crankshaft, and 10mm longer connecting rods
and 10mm longer cylinders, we decided to correct many of the weaker
areas of the 650cc engine. The end result is an engine that not
only has more horsepower and torque, which gives the motorcycle
more pulling power and speed, but the changes also provide improved
reliability and less maintenance hassles.

It also sounds throatier and powerful! Combined with several cosmetic
and trim improvements on the frame and motorcycle itself, the new
Ural 750cc motorcycle should quickly become a popular ride for both
enthusiasts and retro collectors of all ages. ALL 2002 models will
come equipped with this engine!
